Message from the President

"I am so honored to be the President for the Hawai‘i CEC unit! I work alongside the most amazing board members and I want to assure you that we are working diligently to support our members and grow our unit. The field of special education holds a dear place in my heart and I vow to work tirelessly to change the narrative of special education in our state. Our students with special needs deserve our attention to important matters, and I pledge to always keep their best interest in mind as we advocate for appropriate governmental policies, provide professional development opportunities to our members, and support members to grow so that they may have the appropriate conditions and resources necessary for effective professional practice and livelihood."
